Hi Everyone,I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 computer with both Hyper-V and WSUS configured.

Within Hyper-V I am running a Windows 10 guest.

The guest is configured to retrieve Windows Updates from the 2K12R2 Server.

Here are my Group Policy Settings for WSUS -

Within WSUS I was originally seeing this message -

137226-wsus-1.jpg

After refreshing I am now seeing this message -

137168-wsus-4.jpg

On the Windows 10 guest I as seeing the following in Control Panel -

137169-wsus-2.jpg

On the Windows 10 Guest I am seeing the following in Settings -

137232-wsus-3.jpg

The Windows 10 Guest will maintain the above screen for hours on end...

Windows Updates on the Windows 10 guest have never worked. I have actually already cleared the update cache on one occasion and attempted to start again to no avail.

Can anybody offer some suggestions on how to get my WSUS installation to play nice?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Davo

    Hi there,

Try this command and see if this is helpful.
Open up the command prompt by hitting the Windows key and typing in cmd. Right-click and choose “Run as administrator".Type this command

    wuauclt.exe /updatenow

This is the command to force Windows Update to check for updates.

Are you performing the proper WSUS maintenance including but not limited to running the Server Cleanup Wizard (SCW), declining superseded updates, running the SQL Indexing script, etc.?

You also have a screenshot with 4 Feature Upgrades - all Approved - which one do you want to install? Decline or set the others to Not Approved.
