SCCM server IP

Hi,

We are planning to change our SCCM server IP due to data center changed.

What changes needs to be done before change the IP of the server.

SQL is installed on the same SCCM server.

Thanks.

Hi @Zeeshansidd-0614,

The change of the IP address is straightforward, there shouldn't be anything tied to the IP address itself, only the DNS, so make sure the DNS is updated and has the correct IP address.

If we have extended Active Directory schema and published Configuration Manager site information to Active Directory Domain Services, Configuration Manager clients can automatically find management points through Active Directory publishing and then get other site system server information, such as DP/SUP. They use an LDAP query to a global catalog server and don't care IP address change.
