Hello,

We are running SFB 2019 in our environment with 3 Front End Servers, 2 DB's in DAG & 1 Office online server. There is no "Edge Servers" and no "Internet Connectivity" for these servers. All these are for internal domain users logged into domain machine.

All these 6 servers are in our current primary site as VM's. Business needs have changed for sometime and we need to shift the servers (vmotion) to our second site which used to be a DR kind of site.
I want to know what impact will it cause by changing the IP addresses of all the 6 servers ? What should be the order of changing? Do i need to update anything in Topology? How to handle DB's and front-end? The server names will remain the same.

or is it Technically not advisable at all?

or

Is the above easier or setting up a new SFB 2019 servers at second site?

or

even add 2 extra front-end & 2 DB's to the toppology and then shutdown the first site servers. We can move Office online Server and change IP, if it is not going to cause huge impact.

please share your thoughts & Microsoft Recommendation.

Thanks

    @Najeebulla Khan ,

    As I know, it has no impact to change the IP address. When changing the IP addresses, we suggest you follow this order: DC->DNS->Application server. Then modify DNS records which you have added them manually in the former and restart server. Also suggest you do the above steps after production time.

    Moreover, you can refer to the ** To deploy a pair of Front End pools** part in this article.
