How to install the latest preview build of Windows 10?

My PC doesn't meet the requirements of Windows 11, and I still want to get the latest preview build of Windows 10. Before Windows 11 appeared, my PC had stayed in Beta channel of the insider program, thus getting a bit old preview build instead. Now I want to switch to Dev but this channel provides with Windows 11 at present so I can't stay here. Windows 10 Release Preview channel only offers a build 19044.1237, but I find Windows 10 latest preview build is 21390. So can I get this build and install it on my PC?

Hello @ZhifanYe-2285

The last version of the Windows 10 Insider Preview is the Build 19044.1263 (21H2) as described here:

https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2021/09/23/releasing-windows-10-build-19044-1263-21h2-to-release-preview-channel/

The difference in the versions are the Semiannual channels vs the Cumulative update channel which often includes Servicing updates to prepare the system repository for future version rather to provide an update to the system. Meaning that if you want to download the core "build" without additional updates that is the correct one.

Information about the Cumulative update rollout: https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2021/05/26/announcing-windows-10-insider-preview-build-21390/

Hope this helps with your query,

I know. But I found that some applications need a minimum of OS build which my device hadn't meet the standard yet. Should I need to install all the update packages from my current build to the minimum one?

Consider backing up important files to another disk drive and / or the cloud.

Then clean install Windows 10:
