Spent thirty bucks on a TPM module for my motherboard.

Spent another few hours figuring out how to change my partition and enable secure boot. Then another worrying few hours actually doing it.

Then today, when I download the newly-released "PC Health Check" program, I find out that my processor, which was quite expensive and is only about five years old (released in Q2 of 2016, most people didn't buy them the instant they were released so many are less than five years old) is NOT supported.

Yeah? Well Microsoft, this finger I'm holding up is for you.

    No, "limitlesstech".

Microsoft has made a mistake. Not supporting a five or less year old high-end Intel processor on the main Windows chain release is that mistake.

Oh, they won't fix the mistake because of little old me.

You see, I am NOT alone.

Of course Chris you're not alone.

Same here, it's unbelievable to see that my computer (Intel Core i7-6800K@3.40GHz / 32 Go DDR / Geforce 1080 / SSDs...) which i believe is powerful (at least enough to run all new programs/games I want to use without problem (except windows 11...)) is considered as "too old" and not supported just to run an OS !

    The hardware manufacturer is Intel.

Last I checked, Microsoft and Intel have a pretty close relationship.

This is a shame; This processor is in a very expensive Microsoft Surface Studio I bought. So they do not support their own hardware.... ???
