agent showing up as Not Monitored in SCOM 2019 coincides with the "All Management Serves Resource Pool Unavailable" error

we're still using the SCOM 2019 evaluation edition, management server, sql server are on the same VM. it's been working okay up until two days ago, the newly agents we pushed out to our systems would show up as "not monitored". I've tried the following steps but still having the same issue:

  1. I've stopped the Health service, rename the Health service folder and restarted the Health service

  2. place that particular agent in maintenance for 10 mins and then took it out of maint.

  3. doubled checked the firewall settings made sure all ports are opened

it was around the same time i start noticing "All Management Servers Pool Unavailable" error. The time of that error coincides of me restarting the Health service couple days ago to test a batch program (which is completely unrelated to the "not monitored" issue.

Hi,

Thank you for the valuable input. Firstly, run the following powershell cmdlet to make sure that the evaluaction copy does not expire.

Get-SCOMManagementGroup | ft skuforlicense, version, timeofexpiration –a

and the output may like this:

As you mentioned, we have checked all the open ports required. For testing purpose, could we make it further to move problematic (state: "Not Monitored") agents to the same subnet as the good ones and then check if there is any difference? If already in the same subnet, ignore this step.

In addition, in which view the agents are showing "Not Monitored"? What is the state in Monitoring --> Windows Computers for the problematic agents?

Hi,

How's everything going? Have we figured out this problem? Or is there any other help that we can provide?

Regards,

Alex
