Win 7 to Win 10 upgrade

I am upset. I had office 2016 Professional Plus installed on my PC. After I upgraded to Win10 from Win7, I no longer am able to use my office products without a product key. It has been 6 years since it was purchased retail and loaded it onto my PC. I have no idea as to where the product key is now.

I downloaded back to 7, and office still requires a key. Since office is down either way, I reloaded WIN10.

How do I get MY office software working again ?

all the information in in the description of the issue. It is a retail version bought from brick and mortar store and I can't find the key after 6 plus years of not needing it.

Beside, it was the upgrade from WIN7 to WIN10 that the activation was disabled. Even when I reverted back to WIN7, office still was not active anylonger.

How do I actually connect with MS as their phone numbers no longer connect with a human.
Neither 1-877-568-2495 nor 1-800-642-7676 connect with a human.

Besides, according to the link "I lost or damaged my product key", it seems that you also need to prepare a valid proof of purchase.
