Hi,

I found strange networking issues on my Hyper-V Core 2016 and 2019
I am using HP Proliant DL380 Gen9

My issue is when I try to ping from Hyper-V VM (debian in my case) to another server sometimes unstable/intermittent/jumping (from 0.x to 1ms) (as capture below)
I already disable tcp offload, rss, rsc, vmq but still no luck.

How can I improve it?
Any help will be appreciated

Thank you

    Hi @utha

Ping is not a reliable method to test the performance of a server or network, as there are a number of variables on both source and target machines that could impact the results and clients network stacks might not prioritise ICMP packet other traffic. Also your virtual platform could also impact the results, due to resource allocation or other VM load.

The suggestion would be to test the performance against the intend use rather than a ping result.

    Gary.
