Hello,
In our environment we are using a script to convert hyper-v gen 1 VM to gen 2, the script creating a VHDX disk and mount it to windows explorer. if the script fails for some reason it cannot removes the drives I had to reboot the machine in order to remove the phantom drives
The drive letters do not appear in the Disk Management console, so I can't remove them from their even diskpart. not showing anything related to those drives. There's nothing in Device Manager that's holding them either. I opted to show hidden devices and removed every grayed-out storage volume listed, but the drive letters remain.
is there any solution except rebooting the machine
thanks
