21H1 Feature Update shows compliant for older version machines

Hi All,

We using SCCM CB 2103 in our environment and recently we have started to push Windows 10 21H1 feature updates to Windows 10 2004 machines. Almost all the machines came into compliant state without installing/downloading the update. The SCAN doesn't shows the machine needs the feature update in the logs and scan gets successful. can anyone suggest how to fix it.

Checked the required machine list and none of 2004 machine is showing in it.

Hi @NathanielThomas-4109,

Please check if the windows 10 21H1 feature update is required on the side of sccm console.

If not, we could check ccmmessageing.log to see if there is any error in it, which records activities related to communication between the client and management points.

Besides, please run these following policies on the side of one client to check if the list is fixed.

No errors in ccmmessaging.log. I am seeing this issues only for most of the machines which in 2004 which is not marking 21H1 as required. Tried for multiple machines . My doubt is when machine is in Windows 10 2004 why its not in required for 21H1. I see machines which are in older version than 2004 are in required list of 21h1

Hi,

It seems that there are something wrong with scanning on the side of 2004 client.

Please check if any error in ScanAgent.log, and UpdatesHandler.log, they are record details about software update compliance scanning and about the download and installation of software updates on the client and details about scan requests for software updates, the WSUS location, and related actions.
