Dear, I am asking for your advice. We use the option of archive mail folders = PST files for users in their mail profiles, where users archive older mail that they do not currently need, etc. Users have these PST files stored in their HOME directory, which is a network drive on FS in the given location. Sometimes it happens to us that users hear that mail is being lost from these files, sometimes a few records, sometimes even mail in the last few months. Some time ago it happened to us again, the user lost about 8 months of mail. The only thing I could think of was to completely disable the use of offline files using GPOs, but that didn't fix the problem.
Another user said today that he had lost a lot of mail from the archive file. Can't you think of someone where there could be a problem, or if you have encountered something similar, I welcome your know-how.
The strange thing is that the PST files that the users have stored in the network storage have strange dates, such as one from 2020. And I see the user that the PST file has emails stored there from yesterday, for example, I'm worried about it somehow. too much to do so that the loss of emails does not become a widespread problem.
So where are the files stored? Probably not in the PST, somewhere in some cache? Advise pls.
