Exchange 2016 CU 22 Install Error

Getting the error below. Tried removing the server from all Group Policies, tried on different server, and tried CU 21 (same error).

What's your windows server version and previous Exchange server CU version?
According to the error code '2147943860', this issue seems to be related to windows, please check if you encounter other issue which are mentioned in this link: Guide to Fix This Operation Returned Because The Timeout Period Expired Error

You could also check if any error recored in application log, which will be helpful to troubleshooting.

From Exchange server side, make sure you have met the system reqirements to upgrade your server. And all the prerequisites are meeted as well.

This was a fresh install in Exchange 2013 environment. Windows Server 2016.

I read "Permissions list in Prepare Active Directory and domains for Exchange Server" in your response and that led me to running "/PrepareAD" a second time. After running it the second time the Exchange 2016 CU 22 installation completed successfully.

Actually, it was not running /PrepareAD again that fixed it. It was the fact that we added my account back to Enterprise Admins so that I could run /PrepareAD. We took my account out of Enterprise Admins before I completed all of the installs and the last one failed again with the same error. Then we put my account back in Enterprise Admins and setup completed successfully.
