RDS license query

Hi all,

We have one rds server with 2016 per use Cal's installed. Now we need additional 200 rds Cal's plus 60 2019 rds per user Cal's.

I understand that we need 2019 rds license server for 2019 Cal's.

I am bit confuced on which rds license I should buy?

Do I need to buy 200 2016 rds Cal license plus 60 2019 licese and install them as seperate pack?

Or I simply buy 260 2019 license and use it for both 2016 and 2019.

I am not sure if we need seperate 2016 license pack in 2019 servers.

    Thanks I thought seperate license pack is required

    Also I hope there is no issues to host two rds license server

    I installed 2019 license. But when I try to connect to 2016, I can see the license and its green in rds diagnoser. But license count is not decreasing for 2016 users. No error no warning
