How to rename an aks cluster?

There is no option to rename the Azure Kubernetes cluster in the azure portal.

Can anyone please suggest, steps to rename the cluster.

Either though portal or through any command.

Please suggest.

Hi @UdayKiranReddyureddy-2664,

Moving or renaming your AKS cluster and its associated resources isn't supported.

For more information, see:

What we observed is, once we create the cluster the charges are added immediately for one month.

So, if we create a new cluster and delete this one.

We will be charged for 2 clusters in this month.

Is there any alternate way to rename the cluster instead of deleting and creating.

And if it is the only solution, what we need to do for not get billed for 2 clusters unnecessarily.

Also, is there any way to reset the complete cluster data if any tampering of cluster happened for testing purposes by our team?

For the billing I suggest creating a support request to the billing support to check if there is a way to avoid double payments.
As far as I know when you delete an AKS cluster, the resource group with data will also be deleted.
