Windows 2012 DNS adding domain name filtering

We are testing a content filtering software at work. We are having an issue where when the user connects to VPN, it requests, lets say you are trying to go to espn.com, the request goes as espn.com but when it hits the DNS server the request is read as espn.con.myDomain.com.

It works fine when not on VPN weather you are in the office or at home. Can anyone suggest what could POSSIBLY be going wrong? I inherited this network and I am trying to get things working but I am stumped here.

I'd check the DNS address the VPN hands out then also check the root hints and forwarders look correct.

Just checking if there's any progress or updates?

We found one possible issue on our side and waiting for the change approval for it. We also found that our registrar listed, along with www, ftp, etc, they listed *. wildcard. I have never seen that before so we are getting approval to remove that. They wont be meeting until tomorrow so we will hopefully get to do the changes this weekend. Thanks for your help!
