Bing Web Search results not as good as Bing results

Hello,

I'm trying to recreate a query that I ran on bing.com with the Bing Web Search API. While the results with bing.com were good and accurate, I can't seem to get relevant results with the API. I don't necessarily expect the exact same results, but the top results from bing.com are not returned with the API.
Here's the web search: "fire 07/05 2020 COLUMBUS AVE NEW YORK"

You can see that the first two results are an exact match.143915-image.png
The 1st one is a news article, the 2nd a video. I'm mostly interested in the news article here.

I tried to do the same query, first with just "q=...", then by adding all these parameters, or some combination of them:143981-image.png

Everytime, all the results are only webpages, and none are exactly relevant like the ones from bing.com. One of the webpage result (the 5th) is from the same website as the 1st result from bing.com ("westsiderag.com"), but not relevant.
I also tried to call the News API, but none of the articles returned are relevant either, but I was expecting that.

Do you know what I could change to get more accurate results like from bing.com ?

Hi, I was able to get more accurate results by removing 07/05 from the query. So I only specified the year (2020) along with the other query terms. Hope this helps!

Hi, thank you for your answer. Indeed here removing the date gives more accurate results, which is a bit weird, but it's not an ideal solution as most of the time the query with the date gives more accurate results. If there isn't another parameter to change to get results closer to what bing.com returns, then I guess my only solution will be to play with the parameter "q".
