Multiple Clients, One Program, One Server

New IT student here and I have a question about applications being shared/networked by multiple clients. Let us use the example of a PC Game. In my scenario, we have 5 clients (all average gaming machines, not virtual machines). These clients are networked on a LAN with a single server that hosts a contemporary PC game. Is it possible for more than one computer to run a program over a LAN simultaneously? If so what are the technical terms for this kind of setup? I am looking for some great videos on how to duplicate this process in a home lab. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am at the A+ certified level, so please understand I am still very new at all this and thanks ahead of time!

I'd suggest asking the application developer about support for Remote Desktop services where you could host it on a terminal server.

    Hi,
Agreed with DSPatrick, you shall first confirm with the application developer on whether the application supports Remote desktop service.

If it is capable then you could refer to the step by step guidance on deploy a quick start RDS environment in one Server.

Another point to consider is the licensing. How has the vendor of the game licensed their product? They may require that the game be licensed for each user of the game. Most likely the implied answer to licensing would be there if the vendor supports running it under RDS, but licensing is something only the vendor can clarify.
