Unable to logon to Enterprise Skills Initiative Support

I want to raise a query to Enterprise Skills Initiative Support but getting the below error message when trying to logon with my Org email ID.

"Selected user account does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft' and cannot access the application '7e48f8be-7eda-4ced-8cb6-05536e254373' in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Please use a different account."

At the same time I am able to successfully logon to https://esi.microsoft.com/. Please help.

@VinodMukkonathil-6664 The error should not come if you are able to login to https://esi.microsoft.com successfully. As the URL for support ticket https://esisupport.microsoft.com/en-US/ also uses the same work account.

You can try doing both in same browser in different tab under InPrivate or incognito once and see if it makes any difference. If it does not, we can have a deeper look into this by getting to know the account that you are using for login. For that we will need you to drop us an email at azcommunity[at]microsoft[dot]com with Subject "Atten - Vipul" and share your subscription and Tenant ID. We can then take it forward.

I have just figured this out for one of my users. My advice is as follows:

  1. Make sure you have a PRIVATE microsoft account setup before hand - like an outlook.com or hotmail.com account.

  2. Open a new Incognito window (in Chrome), making sure you didn't already have any incognito windows open (seperate incognito windows seem to share the same temporary cache/cookies)

  3. Go to https://esi.microsoft.com

  4. First enter your email address for your microsoft work address

  5. You will need to WAIT a number of minutes for the verification code emails to come through. one of mine took 20 minutes

  6. Clicking some buttons seem unresponsive - again, WAIT up to 30 seconds after clicking a button

  7. At one point in the process the message says you need to sign in with your PERSONAL account. Make sure you carefully read each message without just clicking next

  8. Again you will be waiting multiple times for multiple verification codes to go through.

  9. On the page where you need to select your language and time zone etc, DO NOT type into those fields - the page will go blank when you press a key. Use the drop downs instead.

  10. Hound your microsoft rep about how terrible the process is as there is no way I am promoting this to my users.
