Just upgraded to Windows 11, snipping tool not working now

I have been using the Snipping Tool under Windows 10 previously without issue. After I upgraded to Windows 11, the Snipping tool will load, but will no longer work after that.

I get the following message:

A problem with Windows is preventing Screen Snipping from opening. Refreshing your PC might help fix it.

Are you facing this issue with other Microsoft Apps?
Check Windows Update and see if there is any pending updates?
Have you checked the Microsoft Store for updates?

Even I had the same issue, And today when I was randomly looking through the Microsoft Store, I searched for snipe and sketch. I found two options out of which one was 'get' and the other was open, After clicking 'get', surprisingly it worked for me. So please try it and I hope it works for all

Hi,

There is an issue with a certificate at the moment, an update is due to be released on Tuesday 9th November. Please see this document for information: https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2021/11/04/releasing-windows-11-kb5008295-to-beta-and-release-preview-channels/

You could temporarily put your device into the Windows Insider program to get the update / fix now.

I have no other apps having issues at this time

Windows update has applied all updates

When I go to the Microsoft Store, I see Snip and Sketch. I tried downloading and install, but it, shows up as Snipping Tool, with same error.

Have you tried using Snipping tool under Windows 11?...Dan

No, but I got an updated thru windows update today that fixed the issue...Dan
