Azure AD Connect - Federated

Hello all -

So we use a 3rd party for domain federation with 0365. Currently use Idaptive. We do not use Azure AD Connect. I am trying to setup our devices (Windows 10) for Hybrid Azure Joined (DeviceTrustType: Domain Joined). Following the link from this URL I am trying to do Device Options to get to this step - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/devices/hybrid-azuread-join-federated-domains

Is there a way to setup Azure AD Connect (with out doing the actual users) and allow me to achieve the Hybrid Azure AD Joined?

The end game is to allow us to set up Cloud Management Gateway for SCCM.

Thanks!

Hello @chrissezhi-3430 ,
Could you please confirm if the Federation Provider Idaptive is capable of device based authentication? The article you have shared allows the AD connect to update the claim rules on Office365 related Relying party on ADFS , The ADFS is capable of device authentication . I checked the documentation for Idaptive but was not able to figure out . I understand , it has capabilities for device management similar to Intune . If you can check this , then I can further get some answers on this. Ideally you would have O365 added as an application on Idaptive and using some kind of SSO profile configuration. If the Idaptive system supports device registration then the required claims could be added to the same SSO profile and it should work. I understand its theoretical however I could not find this within their documentation hence I would request you to check the same with them and let us know . We will help you further accordingly.
