Why is "from" field under Option tab in outlook greyed out?

I'm trying to add shared mailbox on the from field but can't add it because the "from" field under the Option tab is greyed out.

I hope someone can help me fix this issue.

    Can you show a pic of that? You should be doing this from your own mailbox

    Hi @Gee Cee ,

    I think you may mean this:

    Does your Outlook look like this? only the FROM button been grayed out? Or are there any differences?

    You could check your Outlook version and update it to the latest. Also please try restarting the Outlook in safe mode: Open Run > outlook.exe /safe. This could block the add-ins disturbing.

    Please also login to your O365 outlook or your OWA to check this.

    I was able to fix it by recreating outlook profile for user.
