Regarding message center notification "MC297438" it states "On January 3rd 2022, to provide the best-in-class encryption to our customers, we will begin retiring Transport Layer Security (TLS) versions 1.0 and 1.1 and begin obligating TLS1.2 usage for the Direct Routing SIP interface."
However, it later states, "You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates that your organization is still connecting using SMTP Auth client submission via smtp.office365.com with TLS1.0 or TLS1.1 to connect to Exchange Online."
Yet another message states "The notification in Message Center post MC297438 applies only to customers that have implemented Direct Routing in Teams by using a Session Border Controller (SBC) and an SIP proxy. If you haven't configured Direct Routing in Teams, and if you don't have an on-premises Session Border Controller, this Message Center post does not apply to you."
Does this change apply to SMTP Auth like one of the notifications states or is it just Direct Routing SIP interface?
