We have an shared mailbox that is licensed due to size with the MessageCopyForSentAsEnabled set to True so any emails sent out from the shared mailbox save to the sent folder however we are also finding that the emails are saving in the senders sent folder as well. Is this expected behavior?

That's pretty much what this setting does, yes. You can toggle it off if needed. The license shouldnt make a difference.

When UserA send as shared mailbox to send email to other mailbox, this email must show in UserA Sent Folder. If the value of MessageCopyForSentAsEnabled is true, this message will be copied to shared mailbox Sent Folder, otherwise, this email will only show in UserA Sent Folder.
