How to schedule SQL profiler to auto start/stop to capture SSAS synchronization?

Hi All,

I am already troubleshooting an issue in synchronization of SSAS DB from source server to destination server . It is getting hanged.
I want to run the SQL profiler to capture the traces while synch job running. But I am not able to find any way where I can schedule any job or anything similar which auto-trigger SQL profiler when to capture synch job at particular time. Do anyone has any idea on this?

Thanks

Hi,
How have you run the synchronization? Was it scheduled for a specific time in a day?
We could write a Stored Procedure to schedule SQL Profiler job. For this tutorial in blog, add trace job into the code, it should work as required: Scheduling a SQL Server Profiler Trace

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Lukas

Thank you Lukas for your response,
Right now I am running profiler traces by manually launching it and start at night and leaving it as it is as running..
In morning, I need to stop it manually again.
For auto start/stop scheduling, I will try the steps given and will get back to you. Many Thanks
