Visual Studio 2022 Recent projects and solutions always empty

Using VS 2022 community,if I create/open projects,Recent projects and solutions menu is always empty
Am I missing something?

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Please close all instances of Visual Studio and update your VS to the latest version through Visual Studio Installer.
Then, create a new project and check if the situation disappears or not.

If it persists, please go to “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\2022\Community\Common7\IDE” and run the command line: devenv.exe /resetuserdata to try again.

Vs 2022 is updated
I run devenv.exe /resetuserdata , after I create a new project I can see the list populated, If I restart VS,then list goes empty

Dear customer, could you tell me if your VS is logged in after restartng? Have you installed other versions of VS on your computer?

I've uninstalled VS2019,run again devenv.exe /resetuserdata but the same problem:list is empty

Hi @moris27 , do you have a group policy setting on your computer or not?
Please try the following:

Run you Registry Editor as administrator

Open the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

find the ‘NoRecentDocsHistory’ value

Double-click on it to Change the value data from 1 to 0.

re-launch your VS and check if the recent projects show or not.

Hi @moris27 , it is not a VS problem. It is a system-wide setting. Maybe you set it accidentally.

Hi there!
I tried to do this but my Policies folder is empty. There's no Explores subdirectory there.
How can I solve that?

Tenta alterar as variáveis de sistema. Coloquei o caminho do C:\Program Files\dotnet\ acima do C:\Program Files (x86)\dotnet\ e funcionou.
