Lync to Teams

Hi,

I'm currently using Lync 2013, is it out of support and if so, how can I migrate to Teams?

Do we have to buy some Microsoft 365 licenses to use it, for all users?

Hi @nfalix-2228

It needs to deploy hybrid connectivity between Lync server and Skype for Business Online first. Then plan to move your user to Microsoft 365 or Office 365.For more information about upgrading from a Skype for Business on-premises deployment to Teams , please refer to this article.

If you make software purchases for your organization, you can:

  • Buy and download Microsoft 365 Basic

  • Buy and download Microsoft 365 Business Standard

  • Buy and download Microsoft 365 E3

Hi,

Thank you for your quick response.

I would check the documents later.
Besides, what's the difference between these licenses? I may also migrate our Exchange 2013 to the cloud.

Regards
