ExpressRoute

Hello,

I've a confusion and I would like to clarify it.

"Local circuit at an ExpressRoute peering location gives you access only to one or two Azure regions in or near the same metro."

So, when my region is Central Canada, then What am I allowed to access? Which regions?

@JanNuaman-2253 Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Just to clarify, Local circuit at an ExpressRoute peering location gives you access only to one or two Azure regions in or near the same metro. In contrast, a Standard circuit gives you access to all Azure regions in a geopolitical area and a Premium circuit to all Azure regions globally.

When you use the Toronto or Toronto 2 Peering location, you can access Canada Central region from the same. Hope this clarifies your doubts. Please let us know if you have any further questions and we will be glad to assist further. Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. It's not yet clear, especially when we talk about metro!
If I choose Local circuit, then am I going to be able to access Quebec location as it is in Canada East? Or nearest US location?

Thanks

@JanNuaman-2253 Its the other way around. When your connectivity location is Quebec City, you will have access to Canada East as given in the List here.
That will be the only location you can access. When your connectivity location is Washington D.C or Washington DC2 for example, you can connect to both East US & East US 2 and that's all you can connect to. Hope this helps. If not, please do let us know and we will assist further. Thank you!
