Intune company portal enrollment fails after android 12 upgrade on my phone oppo reno 6 5G

Hi Sir/Madam,
I have an android phone called "OPPO reno6 5G" in which I was configured Intune company portal app to access my office email, it was working perfectly fine until I upgraded my phone from android 11 to android 12 by software update feature available in device.

After upgrade to android 12 my outlook mail started crashing so I removed the work profile, uninstalled the intune app, reinstalled it and tried to enroll my office email account but it fails at update device setting. I even reset my phone but still no luck.

I dig more and found below error on log.
It seems app is not getting some required internal permissions. It is not able to validate/check device compliance status as it always says "last checked: January 1,1 12.43 AM"

Please help me how to address this problem.

Same with Oppo Find X3 Pro
Both Microsoft and Oppo have not been helpful so far.

having same issue here. anyone manage to find workaround? only way is to downgrade to android 11?

I have the same experience. I bought a new phone of realme 9 pro facing exactly the same issue. for mobile device management my system is showing up it couldnt access it.

@SahuNand-1415 Thanks for posting in our Q&A forum.
For our issue, I have done some research. To work around the issue, we can try to unlock the phone, open the Device Policy Controller app, and trigger a sync. Once the sync is completed, the device should show as compliant in Intune and access to corporate resources should be restored.

If the above method doesn't solve our problem, all clues seem to indicate that this is a oppo product-related issue “ColorOS version 12 not compatible”. It's better to create an online support ticket to handle this issue. It's free. Here is the online support link and hope it will be resolved as soon as possible.

What do you mean by unlock phone. Are you asking me to unlock the bootloader of phone? I can not do that.
Also there is no such app(device policy controller) in my phone.

We have found a very similar problem on Samsung phones, the above method may be effective (provided there is a device policy controller). Because of the limitations of the forum, we suggest to submit an online support ticket to handle this issue, and please don’t hesitate to inform us of the result. Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks for the response @JarvisSun-MSFT , I contacted the Oppo phone support team they are unable to fix this problem or they do not have any clue how to fix it. They are blaming that it is an issue with Intune company portal app that it is not compatible with Android 12.
I want to ask if is it really true that Intune app is not compatible with android 12? Please confirm.

Same here, there is no such app.

Also, is there a version for OPPO that will work? I'm on latest CPH_2305_11_A.17 and it still does not work (update from 3 days ago)
PS. Using OPPO X5 Find PRO

Same issue with Oppo Find X2. Sync button in Company portal app grayed out.

I am also facing same issue with Oppo Reno Pro 5G after upgrading to Android 12. Last sync date is also coming January 1

Same with oneplus 9 Pro in Android 12. This i gonna be a big problem in the company when Will update the mobiles

OnePlus 9 Pro EU Android 12, after update from Android 11 where Intune worked as designed, in new A12 Outlook stopped working, Teams however not. Reinstallation of Outlook didn't help. Profile was enrolled however pushing it to sync didn't work. I removed the work profile and created new one, it couldn't be confirmed and it looks like no connection can be performed to verify device compliance. I heard that it might be related to Android 12 and its lack of access to Device ID for work profile

same issue for me with an OPPO Find X3 Neo.
I've bought this mobile on decembre 2021 with android 12 for me. At beginning it was OK with intune and very powerful for my job.
Around 7th january, an UPDATE of ColorOS has been done and since it is not longer possible to use my mobile for my job, the enrllment does not succeed in intune :-(

at the begininng of this week-end an update security on my phone was done but the problem is still there

Has anyone managed to unblock the problem ?

Same issue too with OnePlus 9 Pro.

Does anyone know how to try this workaround? I tried to find an app called Device Policy Controller app, I couldn't find any. In Microsoft Company Portal, I went to Settings and manually pressed the Management Policy Sync button, but the issue was not resolved. Is there a different Device Policy Controller ?

There a ticket open to Microsoft on this issue, but this had not been solved for somedays now, I am surprised how such issue is not solve within Microsoft yet?


Does anyone able to have this issue solved?

Same Problem here "OPPO Find X3 Pro", since upgrade to Android 12 sync on InTune not possible. Work on the phone no longer possible.
