A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. (0x8007274C)

We configured live migration from S1 and S2 hyperv host, it works well in the past. However, after a restart of S2, I could not perform move to S2.

There was an error during move operation.

Virtual machine migration operation failed at migration source.

Failed to establish a connection with host “xxxxx”: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. (0x8007274C)

Hi,

--However, after a restart of S2, I could not perform move to S2.

  1. Please check the network connection between the S1 and S2, check if ping works between the two servers.

  2. Please run netstat –ano on S1 and S2, check if the live migration port 6600 is listening.

  3. On the S2, please try to restart VMMS services, check if it could work.
