SCCM: PXE boot and type of hardware detection

Hello,

we are using SCCM to deploy images on our devices.

I would like to know if there is a possibility to detect what kind of hardware is using the PXE.

We want a specific rule for people :

booting the pxe on a laptop (which currently works well)
booting the pxe a Virtual Machine (we want a separate task sequence for those VMs)
Thank you in advance if you know how to manage this.

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A.

Using "SMSTSMake" and "SMSTSModel" we could set the options on various groups and steps to target the right devices. To create the task sequence by using these Variables, maybe we could simply refer to them like any other variable like: %_SMSTSMake%.
