Azure Portal says it is having issues getting an authentication token. AADSTS50020

On https://portal.azure.com/#home I'm getting the following notification:

The portal is having issues getting an authentication token. The experience rendered may be degraded.

Additional information from the call to get a token:
Extension: fx
Resource: jarvis
Details: AADSTS50020: User account '{EmailHidden}' from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application 'c44b4083-3bb0-49c1-b47d-974e53cbdf3c'(Azure Portal) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.
Trace ID: 4e29e4f3-6043-433c-a3ba-22688daa2801
Correlation ID: a2436e64-b7cd-4c73-9856-8abd0514f578
Timestamp: 2022-01-04 22:23:57Z

The problem has been occurring since I changed my primary email address on my Microsoft account.

Unfortunately I cannot change my email back, and I also unable to create a support request.
The "New support request" form seems to work like normal, but every attempt to create a ticket ends with another notification:
"Sorry, you don't have permission to create a support request. Please check your permissions and contact the owner of this resource."

How to fix this issue?

Hi @20882027 , I'm sorry you're having this problem. Are you using a student or trial subscription by chance? Have you also tried adding the account as an external user? If so, what other troubleshooting have you done?

If this doesn't work I can fix the support request issue and open a free ticket for you. Please let me know.

Best,
James

I'm using my personal Microsoft account and I'm using only education services at
https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microsoft_Azure_Education/EducationMenuBlade/overview
Last time I've verified my academic status in 2021 on April 28.
As far I know, I'm eligible to start a student subscription, but haven't done that yet.

Regardless of that, the problem affects the whole portal, all services, even the home page at
https://portal.azure.com/#home

I've tried to log out and in a few times and create support request at
https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microsoft_Azure_Support/HelpAndSupportBlade/overview
, but with no success.

Since my Microsoft account is already know and registered in Azure Portal, it doesn't allow me to register again and works like for a registered user.
But because (I guess) my current email doesn't match the one the Azure Portal knows since my registration, I cannot be fully authenticated.

I think I'm stuck somewhere between being authenticated and not being authenticated. And in that state I'm even not permitted to create a support request.
I'm just out of ideas how to fix that.

Best regards,
Bartosz

Hi Bartosz, can you submit a support ticket here? https://support.microsoft.com/oas/?prid=14238.

Please let me know if this doesn't work.

Best,
James
