Windows Server 2022 not respecting Event Log related GPO

Anyone with 2022 happen to use [ Computer>Policies>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Event Log Service ] to set (for example) Security log size from default to something larger? I'm finding it does not apply to 2022. 2019 no problem, but 2022 is stubborn.
Now I'm worried what else 2022 broke :(

    Hi,

I tried to set my Windows Server 2022's "Event Log Service" policy and every log files(security, system, application) upper maximum file size can be changed.
So, I guess your Group Policy doesn't work properly that recommend to check your Group Policy setting.

I hope this information will be of use to you.

    Best Regards,

This is definitely a problem with 2022 GP. Whether you use the event log maxsize policy or a GPP to update the registry key, the values change everywhere but in the event log properties sheet.

I've just noticed the same issue.

We have WS2016 and WS2022 DCs in our domain. The WS2016 implement the GP correctly, the WS2022 do not - although a gpresult would indicate that they've fetched the GP.

Is there a fix for this?
