Azure test Migrate

Hi awesome people.

Currently I am doing Azure test Migrate for my customer.

One of the Applications Servers is now running in Azure Test Migrate within dedicated vNet.

Unfortunately we couldn't replicate DB server due to technical and compatibility issues.

I am wondering to know if I can do something to make application server ping and connect to on premises DB Server.

Note: Site to Site VPN is not an option.

If it's just not possible then, no problems we can advice the customer that we cannot.

Thanks

Hi @JanNuaman-2253 ,

it's not recommended to connect the test infrastructure with the productive on-premises environment to run ping and connection tests.
During the test migration the productive application server is still running, There will be conflicts if both network infrastructures will be connected (application server VMs with the same name but different IPs, .....).
The only option to run all tests in the test environment is to deploy all required VMs, for instance AD DCs, DB servers in the test environment.
