Unable to add a lock to a Resource group in Azure

I am unable to add a lock for a resource group. Normally you hit ok, and then the lock is added. I'm not getting any error message, nothing happens when I hit ok. Any ideas of why this would happen?

I just tested this in my own tenant and it was working fine. Have you tried in a different browser to see if you get the same behavior? Are you able to capture a network log to see if there are any errors popping up in your browser when you click "OK"?

Great idea to look in the network logs! I think I found what the issue is, but why wouldn't that pop up as a warning in Azure?168380-errormessage.png

Hi @JohnParker-3426,

Thanks for sharing the network log screenshot. I agree that the Azure Portal should show an error message, and I have reported this issue to the product group. I'll let you know what they say since that appears to be a miss.

If you are unable to remove the deny assignment, you will need to create a support case to get it removed. (I will include more info on this in a private comment.)

Thanks for your responsiveness around this issue!

Marilee
