Lync 2010/Skype for Business 2015 Coexistance

I have a coexist environment between Lync 2010 and Skype for Business 2015 since May 2020. Lync server 2010 is on windows server 2008 R2. I have to decommission the Lync 2010 Server. The users have been moved to the Skype for Business 2015. I need to make sure everything is moved before I decommission. Also, exchange 2013 is integrated.

I was not involve the original migration. What do I need to check on both servers before I decommission the lync server?

Thanks.

Hi @mara2021

Based on your description, I understand that you want to migrate Lync server 2010 to SFB server 2015, the following blog is about migrating Lync server 2010 to SFB server 2015, please refer to

https://ucsteps.com/2015/05/18/step-by-step-migration-from-lync-2013-to-skype-for-business-server-2015-step-1/

After the migration, then decommissioning Legacy Lync 2010, you could perform the following process:

1.Moving Conference Directories

2.Remove Association to the Archive& Monitoring Server

3.Remove Association to the Trunks & Gateways

4.Removing Association to SQL Store, and deleting the Lync 2010 servers / Pool

5.Deleting the Lync 2010 Servers

6.Delete the associated SQL Store

7.Uninstalling the Lync 2010 Server role (Frontends, standalone mediation & Directors)

8.Uninstalling Edge 2010 Server
