Microsoft 365 Developer E5 Subscription Creation Failure

Hello,

I am unable to create a configurable E5 Developer Subscription for my M365 Developer environment. I have tried waiting a fairly lengthy amount of time and tried an private browser based on previous posts, but still I am unable to create the subscription. I receive the following error: "The service is temporarily unavailable due to a high volume of requests. Please try again later."

Hi @DavesPlayground-7666

What account you used to sign up for the Microsoft 365 Developer Program?
Please make sure your account is one of following types: Microsoft account (created by you for personal use), Work account (issued by an admin for business use) and Visual Studio ID (created for your Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise subscriptions).

Then I suggest you change browsers to have a check.
If you are running Windows 10, you can also try to reset IE to reset some network settings.
If possible, it's recommended to replace the network environment. In addition, if you use a proxy, please temporarily disconnect for a test.

If the steps above do not work, pleae temporarily change the DNS of the network connection, such as: 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1, and restore the original DNS settings after the operation or test is over.

Hope the information can be helpful.

Hello,

Thank you for responding.

I am using a Microsoft account (username@outlook.com).

I have reset my IE settings, I have updated my DNS as requested and I have even tried on two separate workstations and a mobile device (on a completely different network). I still receive the error message from my initial post.

Hi @DavesPlayground-7666
Thanks for your reply.
I do tests via using my personal Microsoft account, and I can registry the developer subscription successfully.

Could you please change some selections during the registration process?
Is it possible to create a new Microsoft account to check this issue?
If you have any security software on your machine, please temporarily quit it.

I was able to create a "pre-configured" developer tenant. I wanted to create a blank tenant, but that never worked. For now, I can work with this and attempt to create a new one later. Thank you.
