Azure Data Box transfer Speed

Hi,

What is the maximum transfer speed can be achieved with Azure data Box ?

We have a azure data box, but not sure how can we get max speed.

Currently, we connected the data box to our core switch using the DATA1 and DATA2 NICs with SFP interface. The Mgmt port was connected directly to a laptop used for setup.

Both DATA 1 and DATA 2 port is capable of delivering 10Gbps.

I want to confirm whether both will deliver 10Gbps simultaneously.

If yes then all the load balancing will be done in the azure data box itself. And we will get 20Gbps at a time.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks

@sundram090-4866 Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

Data transfer speeds is high dependent on the Data (ie millions of small files – measure in k are slow to copy) and the infrastructure doing the copy

While you can you multiple NIC’s, the maximum throughput is approximately 10Gb/s for the entire Data Box.

Please let us know if you have any further queries. I’m happy to assist you further.
