Azure VM Monitoring, Project Flash: Mem-Preserving Maintenance Events?

Just read the blog post about Project Flash:
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/advancing-azure-virtual-machine-availability-monitoring-with-project-flash/

Will this record/alert on memory-preserving maintenance events that occur on Azure VM's, that are only available via the local Scheduled Events Metadata API?

Since this is a new release, we do not have a lot of public documentation on the same. I have reached out to the internal teams to get information on your ask. Thanks.

@petervee

Issue Summary:
Your question was about whether memory-preserving maintenance events be included under Azure VM monitoring as part of Project Flash.

Here is the reply from the internal team, sharing some information about its roadmap:

"In the future, we will expand scope of our monitoring data to also include select memory-preserving maintenance events leading to application freezes, along with attributing the impact accordingly. We are planning to surface this information as an after-the-fact notification via all the mentioned monitoring solutions (in the blog). We will post updates through the Advancing Reliability blog series when this information is readily available for our customers to use."

Hope it helps.
