A3-A5 License are not being issued to group based users

Hi,
We have recently bought A3-A5 licenses for our hybrid environment. I have created a security group on-prem called Group-Azure-Licenses and added another group (staff) as a member which contains all users who will be using A3 or A5 licenses.

With ADsync groups are synced to AAD so I was able to add group Group-Azure-Licenses to Licensed groups by selecting the License product which is now in Active State. However, users are not getting\issued licenses. I have Reprocessed it several times and left it for 24 hours but this did not resolve the issue. I have deleted all directly assigned licenses for all the users and reprocessed them but did not resolve any issue. Does group nesting work with Licenses?

Any help will be much appreciated

@Ali-7518 , Do you have as many licenses as the users who are part of the group you have applied the license to ? For any groups assigned a license, you must also have a license for each unique member. You must have at least enough licenses to include all of the members. For example, if you have 1,000 unique members who are part of licensed groups in your tenant, you must have at least 1,000 licenses to meet the licensing agreement.

@shashishailaj , thank you for your prompt reply. We have 4000 licenses and 3000 users in the group so we have enough licenses. But I manage to resolve the issue by following steps.

license group assignment to an on-prem group doesn't work if the on-prem group is a nested group.

There should be a clear message about limitations so that people like me don't waste time searching and waiting 18 hours for Microsoft to respond.
