Intune Feature Request

We would like to see Intune add support for removing Line-of-Business, and Business App Store applications during Intune deployment.

There are a few applications that come with a standard Windows 10 device that we (and plenty of other companies I'm sure) would like to remove. Things like Mail & Calendar, any game apps like solitaire, and Cortana (if at all possible).

The automated uninstallation of both of these application types are currently unsupported operations under Intune. So, even though they are actions that can be configured, Microsoft will not assist with troubleshooting them if they fail. Which leads to not insignificant frustration on our end.

While it may be bloatware for most Enterprise customers, at the end of the day, these apps are still Microsoft apps and I doubt that uninstallation of these apps would make to Intune as a default feature. Using a PS script to get rid of the bloatware during provisioning is the only way I have found to be working consistently.

Please file feedback at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ef1d6d38-fd1b-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472 for this. Keep in mind though that ultimately, this is bigger than Intune as Windows itself must (properly) support the functionality for Intune to implement it so you should also file feedback in the Windows feedback hub on this.
