Does anyone know what would cause ERROR_SEM_TIMEOUT, it seems to come up quite often when attaching a vhdx file from a VM after a recovery checkpoint has been made, and the VM has many shawdow volume copies? I am not sure these are the only conditions that can cause this time out, but it seems somehow to be connected.
