This submission failed with error code(s) 1201

Submitting our UWP app passes the initial validation but fails in certification with "This submission failed with error code(s) 1201".

This is a Xamarin Forms Universal App. Spending time googling the error comes back with random results about upgrading and downgrading packages which i've tried with no changes. I'm now rolled up to xamarin forms 4.8. They also say that the error is a bug with the windows store and people say they've resubmitted the same app and it goes through, didn't work for me.

I've tried to go through the contact support in microsoft but that website bugs out and doesn't let me submit a case.

Any ideas?

    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

This seems to be a website issue and currently, only the team could check the result of your submission.

Where did you contact the support? You could try this: Contact Us. Choose to Contact us, select Dashboard for Topic and select App Submissions for issue type.

If this is the way you contact the support, could you share the detailed error message when you submit a ticket?

    Thank you.

Hi - I am experiencing the same issue.

We have a Xamarin 4.2 UWP app that has been submitted successfully several times in the past - it is now failing with error 1201.

It's not at all clear to me what error 1201 means, but I've also found murmurs that it's related to the UWP version -- but that hasn't changed for us in the past several submissions. This failure is new.

I also tried "just resubmitting the app" as was suggested on the internet... five times with no luck. I even deleted the new submission, re-uploaded and re-submitted, also with no luck.

Can you please help me track down any documentation about error 1201, or any concrete steps to fix this?

Same issue here. We are on Xamarin Forms 4.7. We've published an update as recently as a month ago.

For this udpate, I had not changedthe uwp or netcore versions, but received this error, even after building/submitting on multiple different machines.

I have now tried updating the uwp and netcore core nugets one by one, but the submissions are still failing with error 1201. This is not helpful information.

All builds work fine locally. Native toolchain is enabled. They fully pass local testing and certification. This is very frustrating.

*edit - after a another build and submission, with the latest nugets, it seems like I've made it past the 1201 error point. I'd still like to understand what was causing the errors, assuming I'm able to pass certification this time.

I just resubmitted it without changing anything, and it went through in a few hours without any issues.
I suspect it is a transient server issue on the Microsoft side.
