How do I convert Azure Windows server from Dynamic to Static Public Address?

Hello,
Have an Azure server that has a Dynamic Public address and need to convert to Static Public Address.
When I try to assign Static, I get "This public IP address can't be updated because it is associated to the IP Configuration 'opconfi1' in the network interface diplomate400.
When I look at this configuration it get message "Upgrade to Stand SKU - Microsoft recommends Standard SKU public IP addresses for production workloads"

  1. How much does Standard SKU cost?

  2. Where do I purchase?

  3. How do I assign it to this server?

Thanks in advance
Jason

You will have to either stop the VM or else dissociate the public IP address before it can be converted to static.

If you stop, you should be prompted if you want to reserve the IP address, this converts it to static.

To convert to standard SKU you would also need to dissociate or stop the VM. Standard SKU gives you some additional options but these often are not required so I would personally not convert unless you need to as you can't go back to basic SKU afterwards.
