Why is Microsoft killing MSDN forums?

The question title says it all.

Why would it direct us to Q&A when you want to ask a question on, say C# forum?

I know, Microsoft could never create and manage a good forum but at least we were using the existing MSDN with all its pros and cons. Why do Microsoft need to kill something every few years?

@DSPatrick ,

I didn't see any good solid reason in that link, did you?

I don't see there, how redirecting to Q&A is better in any way. For example, can you tell me where are my posts now?
Where is, for example C# in Turkish? Looks like they are gone with the wind now. If you would link back to an MSDN site, then how come that doc is explaining what they are doing? It says, migration was completed, really? Where?

Only the English MSDN / TechNet forums have migrated. Existing threads in MSDN/TechNet will not be moved or migrated. You can still find your MSDN / TechNet posts here.

"Only the English MSDN / TechNet forums have migrated. "

So you are confirming that they are lying in that link. I didn't read that "Only the English" in that link, where is that?:

"Status: ✅ Complete

We started the migration of MSDN Library and TechNet Library to docs.microsoft.com in late 2017, and completed the migration this year."

It says. And even if it says that, then that means they didn't really complete anything, no?

Why would you also link back to MSDN for my posts? Nonsense.

And not only that, if "Only the English MSDN / TechNet forums have migrated." were true, then lots of my posts should exists here. I don't seem to find them. How useful is that?

So will experience from Tech Forums be moved into Learn?

The MSDN/TechNet forums will eventually move to archived (locked) read-only state.

IOW this year's victim was MSDN and Technet forums. Microsoft is famous for killing things, why would I expect the otherwise, I don't know.

Can't say for sure, I don't know what the migration schedule is for Turkish forums.

If they didn't schedule it yet, then why would them redirect to Q&A. Everybody doesn't know English.

(And BTW, don't touch my accepted answer).

The redirection banner was in error and should be corrected.

This discussion is now one year old.
Is there any actual link to the readonly content of the MSDN-forums?
Best regards
