ms-edge 3rd party extension policy settings

In Chrome and Chromium there is a way to set custom polices for an extension using a registry entry like the following HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Google\Chrome\3rdparty\extensions\<extensionID>\policy and you can view that it was loaded correctly by going to chrome://policy.

Is there a way to do this in ms-Edge Chromium? and if yes how can I see it in the interface that the policies are being loaded correctly.

Hi @PhillipRyan-1706

There's no same policy in Edge. All the policies related to extension in Edge are listed here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies#extensions. You can refer to the doc.

To review if policies are loaded correctly, you can go to edge://policy in Edge.

Hi @PhillipRyan-1706

May I know if you have got any chance to check my answer? I am glad to help if you have any other questions.

My developers and I have done some testing and it seems ms-edge respects the 3rdparty registry entries there just isn't any support for viewing these extension policies in the interface.

Is this the correct reg path?

`HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\3rdparty\extensions`

Yes, this seems to work in Edge Chromium version. They just don't show up under edge://policies page from testing.
