How to manage iPhone data wipe using Intune

Hi all,
I do not have a lot Intune experience and I do not know how to manage this topic properly.

Inside company, there are some mobiles (iPhone) that company periodically assign to some employees,
for example company give iPhone01 to Employee01 for just 3 weeks.
After this short period, Employees01 is going to give back company iPhone to IT department.

I need to wipe iPhone Intune enrolled device when mobile come back to IT departement, so I can give the same mobile to another employee.

Which is the best way to manage this data wipe for my case?
Can I avoid to delete and enroll mobile again to Intune and Apple Business Manager?

In this moment we enrolled this mobiles using Intune with Apple Configurator 2 and it is working fine.

Thanks a lot for your help
Federico

@FedericoCoppola-2569 Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For this scenario that give the iPhone to a new user, the official method is the Wipe action.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/remote-actions/devices-wipe#wipe
However, it is needed to re-enroll the device after the wipe action.

Currently, all the remove actions will remove the device from intune management. There is no method to keep the device managed by intune after these remove actions.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi @LuDaiMSFT-0289,

However, it is needed to re-enroll the device after the wipe action.

Okay.
Does it mean start iPhone again and I can type Office365 credential after that I accept "Remote Management"?

Do I need to re-register iPhone using Apple Configurator 2?

Thanks a lot!

@FedericoCoppola-2569 Based on my understanding, yes, it is needed to accept Remote Management profile and then sign in with the new user. And it doesn't need to do any action in Apple Configurator 2.

Honestly, with the limitation resource, I couldn't do the test in my lab. So, it is suggested you to try and see if it works as our expectation. If there is any issue during this process, let's continue to discuss.
