Azure Issues

Why do we keep having issues with Azure, and why do they want to charge you for supporting their issues. I can not use port 25 on my VM. The Azure portal test for connectivity works, but on the VM using telnet to test outbound port 25 it does not work. The firewall has been verified that port 25 is available to use outbound. It seems to be time to move back to the office for use of a server. The future of technology for computers should be putting Azure and AWS out of business. Right now I am trying to delete a VM, and in the last hour it is still just running that moving circle. I know what I am doing since for New Horizons I had to rewrite 90 Azure labs written by Microsoft because theirs did not work correctly.

@EricRohner-1107 Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A. I understand that you are having issues with connectivity on Port 25 in the outbound direction.

As discussed in the Azure docs:

"For VMs that are deployed in standard Enterprise Agreement subscriptions, the outbound SMTP connections on TCP port 25 will not be blocked. However, there is no guarantee that external domains will accept the incoming emails from the VMs. If your emails are rejected or filtered by the external domains, you should contact the email service providers of the external domains to resolve the problems. These problems are not covered by Azure support.

For Enterprise Dev/Test subscriptions, the 25 port is blocked by default. You need to submit a support ticket to enable the 25 port."

I would suggest you to reach out to Azure Support to enable outbound access on Port 25.

I understand that you are also facing other issues with Azure, such as deleting the VM and its not working as expected. You did not read my statement correctly. I said I test the use of port 25 in the portal and it worked, but using telnet to do the same type of test on the VM for port 25 it fails. It says in the portal that my account is not blocked on port 25. Just like last week when our VN stopped working, we are havi9ng another issue with Azure's networking. You did not answer my question, the way it way asked. You need to actually read what I posted, then come up with the correct answer.

@EricRohner-1107 Thanks for clarifying that your account is allowed for connection on port 25 but you still cannot connect when using Telnet. Let me troubleshoot this further and get back to you with more details. Appreciate your patience in the meanwhile. Thank you!

@EricRohner-1107 QQ- From your statement - It says in the portal that my account is not blocked on port 25, where in the portal do you see this? Can you please share a snapshot?
