Difference between MS Access 365 && 2016

What are the differences between MS Access in the Office 365 suite and Access 2016? My co-worker insists that we have to update to Access 2016 and I keep telling him that we already have Access 2016 in our Office 365 suite. When I look at my account it shows that Access 2016 is installed. He is hung up on the fact that the Icons are different and therefore we could not have the same version.
