Delivery has failed - Message blocked because it contains content identified as spam

Hi,

Only recently, I've started having issues replying to emails where delivery fails.

It says:

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
Remote Server returned '550 5.7.520 Message blocked because it contains content identified as spam. AS(4810)

This is when I've been replying to group emails. Each recipient has a different email provider and I'm only adding plain text to my replies. It appears to be an issue with the contents of the email trail that they sent to me and the other recipients in the first place.

Please help as this is a real hindrance.

Many thanks,
Hannah

The easiest way is directly from your account in the web interface.
Go to help, then at the bottom of the menu: "Still need help?"

Click on the YES button

that goes to here:

Unfortunately, there isnt much you can do :(
The recipients are blocking these and only they can tell you why:
Remote Server returned '550 5.7.520 Message blocked because it contains content identified as spam. AS(4810)

Others have seen this as well occasionally:

I don't believe that's the case. I've been emailing this group of people with no problems for months and then a sudden change in the last week. The contents of the emails aren't anything different to what they've been before. As I said, my replies are just text, the emails that originated from them might have a screenshot in... but they sent it to me first and are experiencing no problems with sending it to each other.

Also their email providers are a very mixed bag: @me, @btpl, @locationone, @gmail, @icloud.

The others aren't getting these issues, just me and I'm the only one using hotmail.

Ok, in that case, your only real option is to open a ticket with hotmail.

You could also try asking here:

Thank you! Do you know how I open a ticket with hotmail?

Many thanks,

I think I've found a solution! Or at least a get-round:

Copy the text of your message, paste it into a new email and give it a new title (eg: Test).
Then email it to yourself.
When you receive that email, forward it to the original intended recipients but first remember to change the title back to the original one and delete the new bit at the top of the email that shows you had previously forwarded it to yourself.

My guess is that somehow the copying and pasting loses the coding that got the original email to trigger the error code.
It worked for me. Hope it works for everyone else too.
