Facing this error when click in the Reusable Content button in SharePoint 2016 ribbon in Publishing Rich text Field. I checked the Reusable List is exists on root and inserted the content in Reusable List.
When click on more choices then shows error attached in top screen.

HI , I am waiting for your response as I am running out of time to finish my task.
Per my test, I could insert Reusable Content in the Publishing Html field type column but I cannot insert Reusable Content in the Rich Text Field type column.
The two fields Rich Text Field and Publishing Html Field have very similiar function, both of them can insert pictures hyperlink html format and even script, but for Publishing Html Field, it also supported to insert Reusable Content, but for rich text it is not allowed.
Go to List Settings -> Columns section -> Add from existing site columns -> Add Page Content column -> Then insert Reusable Content in it.
